Our Story
Everything was born in 1978, when two friends met at High School in Mexico City and became soul mates, sharing youthful experiences and working together for many years. After a lifetime of friendship, they decided to found a small company to allow them to continue in contact and continue to build life experiences. Things were done the right way from the beginning, visiting 5 of the 8 states in Mexico where mezcal is produced: Oaxaca, Guanajuato, San Luis Potosí, Guerrero, Michoacan and one where Tequila is produced which is Jalisco. After traveling thousands of kilometers meeting with producers, distillers and industry experts, a product of artisanal, organic and premium quality was created. The next step was to develop an image that would break with the established, devising a unique brand in the world with great meaning that makes us think about how important friendships are in our lives, and thus the name of Mosca Muerta was born.
